31 October 2011 : Alnwick Town Reserves Bitten by the Terriers

AMATEUR CUP

BEDLINGTON Terriers Reserves had Adam Ryder, Ronnie Foreman and Dylan Williamson stretch the net against Alnwick Town Reserves in the Pin Point Recruitment Amateur Cup and they are joined in Round Three by Harton & Westoe.

David Bulman shot Harton ahead at Swalwell and Steve Graham added a second from the penalty-spot. Chris Smith pulled one back late on.

Willington Quay Saints pulled off a surprise as they beat leaders Red House Farm 7-6 on penalties.

An exciting game ended 3-3, with Kane Chirnside (2) and Noel Clynch scoring for Saints and Mark Sheeran (2) and Micky Armstrong the Red House scorers.

Ironically, it was Steven King who avoided a Hallowe’en horror show as he fired in the winning penalty.
