11 February 2012 : Alnwick Town 1 v 2 Killingworth YPC Sporting (with Video Highlights)
Alnwick fell to defeat in the Senior Benevolent Bowl at home to Killingworth YPC Sporting.
With the score 0v0 at half time, Killingworth could count themselves unlucky not to be ahead going into the break.
The away side did take a deserved lead around the hour mark, a long ball headed down and hit on the half volley into the bottom corner by the striker.
Alnwick responded, getting into the game for the first time, and got their equaliser through a long range effort by captain Bryan Murray.
The goal pushed Alnwick on, creating more chances, but in the process left more gaps at the back.
Killingworth's winner did come with a bit of fortune, taking a big deflection of the unlucky Gary Patterson.
Although the home side pushed for a winner, they couldn't find it, however Killingworth deserved their place in the semi-final of the cup.
