30 August 2011 : Morpeth Town 3 v Alnwick Town 3
This game was the first derby game between the two clubs since Alnwick gained promotion into the Northern League Division 2.
Alnwick having lost 0-5 to Hebburn Town on saturday, it was a matter of how they bounced back from their first defeat of the season, Alnwick dug deep and recovered from going 3-1 down to earn a 3-3 draw, goals by Scott McMullen, Tom Vickers & Ben Keenan.
Alnwick looked the more likely to get the next goal to win the match, but it was yet another remarkable comeback, which keep's Alnwick in 2nd place in the league at the time of writing.
One sour note was the injury to Dale Kennedy who had recently returned and was getting his fitness back in last couple of games having been injured near the end of last season, lets hope its not too serious for him.
