Alnwick Town 3 - 0 Tow Law Town
Alnwick secured 3 comfortable points against Tow Law Town on Tuesday night at St James' Park.
It was a frantic opening 10 minutes, with both sides chasing the ball across a wet surface making the ball run very quickly.
Both sides eventually settled, and two goals quickly followed from the home side.
Tony Brown whipped in a left-footed corner, which found Tom Macpherson to header home his 2nd league goal of the season.
The 2nd came from full-back Jamie Dixon, who drilled a low shot into the bottom corner.
The lead could have been 3 at half time, but Darren Riddell rattled the crossbar with a half-volley.
A half-time lead of 2-0 was well deserved, and although the away side came at Alnwick more in the 2nd half, the lead was extended to 3 when substitute Brad McClelland bagged his 6th goal of the campaign to secure the points.
Goalkeeper Luc Glasper showed safe hands to produce Alnwick's 2nd clean sheet of the season.
