The Road To Wembley Closes

September 10, 2015

Two quickfire 2nd half goals from Billingham Synthonia secured the away side a 2-1 win and a tie against Morpeth Town in the next round of the F.A Vase.

Tom Macpherson had given Alnwick Town a 1-0 half time lead with a powerful header, but Osmond and Magowan turned the game around for the away side midway through the 2nd half.

In a game that was anything but dirty, Alnwick ended with 10 men. Chris Glass given his marching orders for 2 bookings.

Disappointment at the end of 90 minutes, as Alnwick had come so close to progressing in the first tie but were pegged back in stoppage time.
