Alnwick travel to Crook in bottom of the table clash

After another disappointing display at home against Easington, Alnwick meet fellow strugglers Crook Town. By Mark Craggs

Crook, who have four games in hand over Alnwick, currently sit two points and one place ahead of tonight’s opponents. A 2-0 win over Birtley Town has eased their struggles, putting them seven points away from the relegation zone.

The same can’t be said for Alnwick who slid to another big defeat last weekend, falling 5-1 at home to Easington. However, for the first time in Adam Laidlaw’s reign, Alnwick face a team around the same league position. They also have new signing Josh Hay to add firepower up front. The striker from local side Shilbottle has scored 27 league goals in the Northern Alliance 1st Division this season.
