Andrew Inness joins Alnwick as two players depart

Alnwick have signed midfielder Andrew Inness, who will be in line to make his debut on Saturday at Tow Law Town writes Media Officer Mark Craggs

Inness is a ball winning central midfielder who will bring height to the centre of the St. James’ pitch and is also able to pick a pass. The manager of Newcastle United Women’s Development team, where he works alongside Adam Laidlaw and Thomas Butler as well as working alongside Ross Flintoft for the NUFC Foundation as a community coach, he will bring coaching knowledge and add on pitch organisation.

As well as his coaching ability, the 33 year old Inness has around 350 Northern League appearances to his name across both leagues, playing for Birtley, Washington, Esh Winning, Jarrow Roofing and Ryton.

In outgoing news, winger Ross Moore has left the club as well as striker David Brown who has joined Northern Alliance Premier Division side Blyth Town.

Get along and support Inness and his new teammates on Saturday as they face Tow Law Town at The Ironworks Road Stadium, 3pm Kick-off.
