Billingham Synthonia Preview

March 10, 2017

Alnwick Town v Billingham Synthonia - Saturday 11th March 2017 Preview

Alnwick Town go into tomorrow's game still looking for their first win of 2017, but performances have been improving despite the lack of points on the board.

Billingham Synthonia however are on a different path at present, winning their last 7 league games in a row looking for promotion to the 1st Division.

The history books don't make good reading for Alnwick in this fixture. Our records currently go back to 1970, and we have never beaten Synthonia, drawing 8 and losing 8 games.

Alnwick will be without Ian Lee, Logan Powell and Darren Riddell, but new signings Cameron Tait and Connor Powell will be available for selection.

Samuel Pérez is in line to make his home debut at St James' Park, and will be looking to build on his impressive debut at Easington Colliery where he scored 2 goals.

Manager Richie Mitchell has said that the players have had a great weeks' preparation for the game, and that despite recent results, confidence amongst the players is high. He is looking forward to the game tomorrow against the most in-form team in the league, and hopes that the town will come along to support the lads as they look to end the season on a positive note.

Kick off at St James' Park is 3pm. Adults £5, Concessions £3, U16's £1.

Programmes are £1 at the gate, refreshments are available in the clubhouse.
