The magic of the F.A Cup was alive at St James' Park on Sunday, and Alnwick Town Ladies caused arguably the upset of the round with an emphatic 5-0 win over Rotherham United Ladies to reach the 1st Round of the F.A Cup.

(1-0): Amy Hately played through on goal, goes around the defender and slides the ball under the goalkeeper.

(2-0): Just a minute later, Jade Barrett broke into the penalty area. Her first effort was an airshot, but the 2nd after brining the ball under control was into the bottom corner.

(3-0): Half an hour on the clock, an Alnwick corner wasn't cleared and fell to Georgia Thompson to smash into the back of the net from around 15 yards.

(4-0): Another Alnwick corner causing problems, and this time Jade Barrett gets her 2nd of the game driving in through a crowd of players.

(5-0): Saved the best until last. Substitute Mel Darling received the ball, turned on the edge of the box and smacks her effort in off the underside of the bar. Stunning goal.

A thoroughly deserved victory for the Ladies side, who progress to the 1st Round of the SSE Women's F.A Cup.
