Manager's Blog - 3 Games In

August 21, 2018

Manager Paul Yeadon has given his thoughts to the club website 3 games into the new season.

"After 3 games we find ourselves having 6 points on the board and looking forward to the next 3 fixtures. Saturday's defeat to Percy Main Amateurs was a bit of a disappointing performance after recent displays and the standards we have set in games and at training. Ben and I are looking for a good reaction from the players on Wednesday night, with Jamie Dixon, Lee Dundas and Kyle Burns returning to the squad we can hopefully get back to winning ways."

"We have an eye on our FA Vase game on the 1st September which will be a big game for our very young squad of players, but it's an opportunity I think all players will relish to play in against tough opposition, Charnock Richard."

"It's great to see the new Development Squad winning two out of two games so far, and they are working very closely with our U17's, with a couple of players making their debut for them already."

"Finally, I just want to say a big thanks to the committee that have given the bar area a makeover in the run up to the new campaign. It looks amazing and we appreciate the work that has been put in for the club."

Alnwick Town face Gateshead Rutherford AFC on Wednesday night, 7:30pm KO at St James' Park. Why not come along and see the refurbished bar area for yourself?
