Yeadon's Thoughts - FA Vase
Manager Paul Yeadon has given some of his thoughts ahead of tomorrow's FA Vase tie against Charnock Richard, as well as some feedback from previous games.
"Saturday sees us host Charnock Richard in the FA Vase in the biggest game of the season for our very young squad. A big thank you to AA Taxis who are match sponsors for the day. Our squad on Saturday will consist of 15 players from within a 15 miles radius of Alnwick so lets come along and support your local team."
"The last three games where tough for us, with players being injured and on holiday which meant the development squad players being used as replacements. They all stepped up with the right attitudes and made a positive impact on the pitch."
"With the games coming fast we host Wallington on Wednesday night which will see us welcome back to the squad Jake Lowes, Joe Pickard, Scotty Madison and Adam Drummond, who all miss Saturday's fixture. We lose Craig Muter for 2 weeks due to a groin injury who impressed on Wednesday night."
"With us not being able to train due to mid week fixtures it's giving me the opportunity to watch the development squad training twice a week and it's great to see the progress they are making and the effort they are putting in at training for Mark, Andrew and Steve."
"The club has came a very long way in a very short space of time and we may have the odd set back on the pitch but we have a good bunch of players that are willing to put the effort in on and off the pitch."
"Big thank you to MKM for providing our 1st team with rain jackets, training tops and polo shirts. We are looking for a tracksuit sponsor so if your business would be interested please get in touch."
Alnwick Town host Charnock Richard in the FA Vase tomorrow, 3pm KO at St James' Park.
